Life As We Know It
I don’t think that parents really realize how hard it is to actually be a teenager now days. There are so many different expectations that teens try so hard to live up to that they tend to gain a habit of forgetting how to live. As soon as a parent spots this kind of behavior coming from his or her teen, he or she are quick to ask, “What is with these kids today?” Well, being how the economy is, parents have to spend a majority of thier time working to take care of the household. Therefore, young adults today don’t have the privlage of having an actual adult around to remind them that it’s okay to have high self-esteem. So, without that being done, our youth depends on TV, magazines, and celebrities to tell them how to look, dress, eat, and act. Is that what should be raising the children of today? No! That’s when the word ‘Parenting’ comes into action. A parent is there to make sure that their child or children do not get caught up in this world’s obsurde outlook of how people should be. This blog is not only to discuss the issue at hand. Yet, it is also a reminder to any and all parents. Tell your kids that it’s okay to dress differently, or look different. Let them know they it’s not a wrong to have a little meat on thier bones. Make sure that they are aware that it’s okay to be normal.
